One of the best things about using a venue like this one to write is the opportunity it offers for communication. Many essays become interactive discussions. Managers from all over leave comments of many types.
Some are expressions of agreement or appreciation – those are always nice! Others expand on the post with related ideas or experience from the readers’ own lives and work that lend great practical force to the topic. Still others suggest new ideas for discussion, or even – and this is welcome, too – frankly but considerately expressed and constructive skepticism about the opinions presented.
This is a rewarding experience that, I think, benefits all of us. I certainly encourage and look forward to more of it in 2008. In the meanwhile, I would like to thank the following for their thoughtful and generous participation in and support of the discussions we’ve had here over the past year:

Thanks to all of you; I look forward to continuing the conversation with you in the new year – and I hope we’ll see more of you offering your comments, ideas, and even complaints, as well!
Tomorrow, we’ll close out this year as we did the last: with a roundup on corporate governance – on this issue, the very fact that there are such storm clouds forming very likely means that they are bearing silver linings. See you then!

Today’s tip: Speaking of communicating, stop over to see this excellent treatment of the subject by Ann Michael, at Manage to Change. Well worth a read before the weekend gets underway.
